Open your Google drive, sign in, and open the doc you created yesterday, called, "5 elements". Match the following questions / definitions to the list of terms in your doc. Remember, Copy is "Ctrl+c" & Paste is "Ctrl+v":
- Describe the environment your character interacts with. (Walls, background, music, gravity etc.)
- What do you use to play the game? (components: enemies, points, blocks)
- How do you win the game? (survival, win the race, reach a destination)
- What limits are put in place to make the game more difficult? (Timers, hit points, boundaries)
- What did you do in the game? (jumping, collecting, shooting, solving)
As you work in Gamestar Mechanic today, you'll write your own definition for each of these terms as it relates to game design.
Agenda:
- Make sure you've done everything from the previous agendas.
- Continue the quest, Addison Joins the league.
- Pay attention to the comics... some is just story, but some are actual game design lessons.
- Did you finish episode 5 and your clean slate game? WATCH THIS!
